Under the umbrella of Lafite Rothschild. Château Peyre-Lebade wines feature the fruity and fleshy characteristics specific to the Haut-Médoc appellation.

Color: Deep purple color.
Nose: : Complex black and red fruits (plums, blackcurrants and cherries), and a hint of wood, licquorice and leather.
Mouth: Supple, soft and gentle tannins. Black fruit dominant, balanced and persistent fruit on the finish.

Technical Details
70 % Merlot30 % Cabernet Sauvignon.
Matured for 12 to 16 months in oak barrels

Winery Background
Château Peyre-Lebade is a historic wine estate in the Haut-Médoc appellation of northern Bordeaux, currently run by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild team. The estate dates back to the 12th Century. In 1979, the property was purchased by Baron Edmond de Rothschild. The vineyards were drained and replanted, existing buildings were renovated and new ones constructed. The wines are distinguished by the high Merlot content, which makes them particularly supple. Typical annual production is 16,000 cases.
